Here's the thing...

How on Earth is saying, "I love Jesus" belittling the Lord? I guess I don't comprehend the logic behind how professing your adoration for someone is belittling them. And it's very rarely people say that to "show off". In fact, in today's society its a black mark against you to be in love with God, people label you as crazy religious and over zealous. Which isn't even possible, there is no way you can be too in love with God, the more the better. Anyways, people say that because they truly do love Him and want to share Him. Parading your love for him does not in any way make you stupid and uneducated, what a mean thing to say! Since when is expressing your love for something an act that automatically deems you as stupid? It is a personal thing, an intensely personal thing, but that doesn't mean you can't show it outwardly! Do couples in love say they love each other, act as if they do? Of course, alllll the time, because it consumes them and is hugely important to them.
And isn't it a more than a little hypocritical to say, "You're ignorant of other religions and should be accepting of them more, but you MUST read this specific translation of the bible in order to read the most accurate one"? And also hypocritical to say, "be accepting of my religion and views" and then bash others for theirs? To say we laugh and sneer at Catholic practices and then in the same paragraph, "Protestants like to make little youth groups that hang out at pizza joints" is so incredibly contradictory. If you're going to criticize people for doing something, first make sure you're not doing it yourself. Furthermore, it's my belief that religion has far more than two places, religion should be in every part of your life. Just thought I should throw that in there.
And the bible was put onto paper by men, but it was written by God. Every story in it and every scripture inside of it ring true, its men that misinterpret. I find it odd that people can say "yes I base my religious principles upon this book" and then not believe half of the things that are in it. And even if you don't believe the bible was written by God, inside of it are quotes from God when he actually spoke aloud that it was his word and it was true. And no, evolution cannot go hand in hand with the bible. In the bible it says all things were created in the span of seven days, not millions upon millions, and any 'gap' theories are simply compromising the word of the bible. Compromising isn't going hand in hand with it. Religion is not about, 'this is what I know, I'm open to other things'. Religion is about holding firm to your belief no matter what. That doesn't mean that you have to shout down others beliefs, it just means that you don't compromise what you believe.
No, I will not, "let people find it on their own." Firstly because as I stated our society grows more anti-Christian by the day so His truth is being hidden behind a veil of prejudices and rumors, but most importantly because I believe in the Almighty God, who has a son named Jesus Christ who came to this earth and saved my life. During his life he gave sermons, and in them he charged his followers with the task of spreading the good news of salvation. I will try as hard as I can to complete the task and finish the race the Lord Jesus Christ has given me, the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace. I wont give you a bunch of "damn quotes from the bible" I'll give you a bunch of quotes from your Savior.

I wasn't attacking you. You took something i said and directly attacked me what the hell is the point in that. I said in there with an exception of one person and that was you. My blog wasn't about bashing you and making you feel stupid and making fun of the things you say.

But i guess its completely understandable that someone who has been a good friend with you and been nice to you and given you compliment after compliment you would bash so fast and then smile about it later.

That pisses me off that you would openly bash me and not my beliefs but strictly me and what i said.

You said, "protestants" and I'm a protestant. Thank you for excluding me in that, but that's still the rest of my family and some of my friends.
And Cody you know that I have nothing whatsoever against you, but when you worded things as you did I was offended and then DEfended myself. All I meant to do was explain some stuff and point out some contradictions, and all I ever said was that your statements were hypocritical and contradictory. Not that you yourself were or are, but merely that your arguments were. Sorry if my intentions were skewed by phrasing, though.

I didn't ever directly quote you in it. or anything to do with you in it. There are protestants just like their are catholics that dont have a clue about their religion or treat other ones like crap. and i was talking about them. But i didn't go about writing a blog were i directly quoted you and insulted the things you said. Defending or not you dont have to directly insult me. and i dont think i have directly insulted you or quoted you and made fun of you openly in what 2 or three years now? and last time i apologized for it and generally felt bad.

And i do generally feel bad about you being offended by that because thats not what i meant. But the difference is you wont feel bad about insulting me because its just "defending" yourself isn't it? you dont have to bash the other person just to prove your point, and quote them so everyone can see how much of an idiot they are.

I apologized, Cody. As I said, "all I ever said was that your statements were hypocritical and contradictory. Not that you yourself were or are, but merely that your arguments were." I feel bad you interpreted it in an insulting manner, but I'm really not responsible for that.
